Hellboy: The Crooked Man will see Jack Kesy become the latest to take on the title role: more on his casting right here.

While many fans do, and perhaps always will, argue that Ron Perlman is the definitive Hellboy, he’s not the only one to have played the character in movies. David Harbour’s take on the character wasn’t as well received a few years ago though. Now, somebody else is set to have a go.

Jack Kesy will be the next actor to play Hellboy in The Crooked Man. Kesy is perhaps best known for playing Black Tom Cassidy in Deadpool 2, as well as appearing in Baywatch and 12 Strong.

The plot will see Hellboy and a rookie BPRD agent stranded in 1950s Appalachia. There, they discover a small community haunted by witches, led by a local devil with a connection to Hellboy’s past: The Crooked Man.

The screenplay has been penned by Hellboy creator Mike Mignola alongside his comic book collaborator Christopher Golden, with Brian Taylor directing.

Hellboy: The Crooked Man will begin production soon, we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
