Oodles of talent has turned out for director Adam McKay’s follow-up to 2018’s Oscar-nominated Vice – more details right here.

Casting has been announced for Adam McKay’s next film, and it sounds rather impressive.

Jennifer Lawrence, Leonardo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Timothee Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Matthew Perry and none other than Meryl Streep are all on board to feature in the director’s next movie, which apparently follows two small-time astronomers who embark on a press tour to warn mankind about a planet-destroying asteroid that is on a collision course with Earth.

It’s little wonder that McKay can amass such talent; his last trio of films include Anchorman 2: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, The Big Short and Vice, and there’s a mix of Oscars and box office success in there. He also executive produces the excellent and awards-laden TV show, Succession.

Dark Horizons has reported that making DiCaprio’s schedule fit alongside his work with Scorsese on their project for Apple, Killers Of The Flower Moon, was the tricky part, but with that sewn up, the project – entitled Don’t Look Up – is good to go.

As a co-production between Paramount and Netflix, we’d expect a theatrical release of some sort before it lands on the streaming platform but it’s early days yet.

More news on this one as we have it.
