Jonathan Majors continues to become one of Hollywood’s most wanted actors as he sets up to work withSpike Lee next.

Jonathan Majors is certainly on a roll right now. He’s set to feature prominently on our screens for years to come as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s key big bad, Kang the Conqueror. On top of that, he’s also making waves as the latest antagonist in the Rocky/Creed films to put our hero to the test, continuing (and perhaps improving upon) a long and storied tradition of Hollywood hard men putting on the gloves in Creed III.

Yep, Majors is having a moment alright but he isn’t resting on his laurels. Reports have revealed that the actor has set himself up to star in a production called Da Understudy. What’s more, the project is now in early talks to sign up none other than Spike Lee, the auteur director with whom he previously collaborated on Netflix’s Da Five Bloods.

According to the synopsis, ‘Da Understudy tells the story of life imitating art when the understudy of a Broadway production finds a role he’s willing to kill for.’ Westbrook Studios and Amazon Studios are involved, with Amazon reportedly having picked up the script on spec.

Westbrook have a number of exciting projects on the go including an I Am Legend sequel. As for Majors, despite dominating our screens at the moment, he can next be seen in the upcoming dark thriller, Magazine Dreams which premiered at Sundance but doesn’t yet have a theatrical release date. We’ll keep you updated on this story as we hear more.
