Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu remake is currently shooting, but cast details are still being revealed, with Aaron Taylor-Johnson the latest to join.

Robert Eggers is currently filming his remake of Nosferatu, and now a few more cast members have now been added.

F W. Murnau’s classic horror tells the tale of Count Orlok, as he preys on the wife of the estate agent sent to his castle. It contains some of the most iconic horror imagery of the 20th century, most notably Orlok’s sinister shadow as he climbs the stairs. Shadow Of The Vampire, the 2000 film in which Willem Dafoe plays actor Max Schreck during the production of Nosferatu, is well worth seeking out.

Dafoe will also appear in this film, appearing alongside Lily-Rose Depp, Bill Skarsgard, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe and Emma Corrin. Ralph Ineson, who also worked with Eggers on The Witch and The Northman, Aaron Taylor Johnson and Simon McBurney have also been cast

Eggers will write and direct the production, as well as produce alongside Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus.

There is no release date set, we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
