Jurassic Park and its first two sequels are coming to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Steelbook this June, in time for Jurassic World: Rebirth’s release.
In advance of the release of this summer’s Jurassic World: Rebirth, Universal has some cunning plans to get hold of your credit card in exchange for the earlier films. It’s hard to think of many households that don’t currently have access to a copy of the original 1993 Jurassic Park, but dammit, why not give it another go.
The studio has put up for sale a Steelbook release of the first three films, on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format. Those films are, as you’d probably guess, Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III.
There are the existing 4K disc releases in posh packaging from what we can gleam, but you do get a sizeable collection of extra features as a result of that. I’d explain the Jurassic films and such like, but I think we all know where we stand here.
The limited edition Steelbook 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray set has been earmarked for 30th June 2025, just a few days before the theatrical release of Jurassic World: Rebirth. The asking price is £49.99, and given the Steelbook packaging, this is the kind of release that’ll presumably sell out.
At the time of writing, though? It’s still available, and you can find the listing for the film – and order yourself a copy – right here.
No word yet on a complete set with what’ll become all seven films, but we ain’t betting against one arriving before the year is out. For now, this is the new Steelbook release, and if you fancy spending some more money on Jurassic Park, then here’s your chance, replete with fresh artwork and a case that makes a satisfying clank when you drop it on the floor.
