You’ll be able to watch Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes at home from 9th of July as the ape-tastic film debuts on digital.

Wes Ball’s Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes has enjoyed a successful cinema run, grossing over $300m at the global box office, but if you’re looking to watch the film from the comfort of your sofa, we’ve got you covered.

Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes will be available to buy and rent digitally from 9th July.

That’s really all there is to this story, but we’ll scribble a few more words in order to please the search engine gods.

Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes is the long-awaited continuation of the Planet Of The Apes franchise. The franchise got a boost with the trilogy that started with Rupert Wyatt’s Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes in 2011. The trilogy, which also included Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes and War For The Planet Of The Apes, explored how the Simian Flu turned apes into the dominant species.

Andy Serkis’ Caesar perished at the end of War For The Planet Of The Apes and Owen Teague’s Noa takes his place as the franchise’s idealistic protagonist.

In our 3-star review, Simon Brew noted that despite the film’s many positives, which include astonishing visual effects, “there’s a long running time and a very, very plodding first half of the film. I love a long film, when it’s lengthy for a good reason. Here, it’s baggy.”
