Keanu Reeves will be returning in at least two more John Wick movies now rather than one, with episodes 4 and 5 set to shoot next year.

Busy times for Keanu Reeves. This month, we finally get to see the long-awaited Bill & Ted Face The Music. Then, he’s at work too on making the fourth Matrix film. And it was his commitment to the latter that led to John Wick 4 being pushed back a year.

But in the extra time afforded to the John Wick team, a whole other sequel has come to life. Lionsgate boss John Feltheimer has announced the news that when filming begins on John Wick 4 early next year, that John Wick 5 is now going to be made back to back with it.

Scripts for both movies are now on the metaphorical stove, and the first of the movies will be released on May 27th 2022. As you’d expect, Keanu Reeves will be headlining both of them.

Lionsgate also confirmed that the spin-off TV series The Continental is also an active project, and the plan will be to debut that in the gap between the fourth and fifth films.

More on all of these as we hear more.
