Lionsgate has released a new redband trailer for Nicolas Cage-starring action comedy The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent. In it, Nicolas Cage (playing Nick Cage) considers ending his acting career before receiving a tempting offer – one million dollars to play himself at a glitzy birthday party.
The birthday boy, played by Pedro Pascal, turns out to be a dangerous criminal, and Cage is hired by the CIA to gather intelligence. To save himself and his family, he must channel his most beloved and iconic on-screen roles. The film is directed by Tom Gormican, who also co-wrote the script alongside Kevin Etten. Etten has produced and written for TV series such as Scrubs and Desperate Housewives.

This looks like fantastic fun for anyone who’s a fan of Nicolas Cage and his generally over-the-top style of acting. Starring alongside him and Pascal are Neil Patrick-Harris and Tiffany Haddish.
The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent is in UK cinemas on 22nd April.
