Rose Glass’ sophomore feature Love Lies Bleeding will be available on digital next week. More details below.
In an age where a major studio movie starring two Oscar nominees debuted on digital after 17 days (thatād be The Fall Guy), it seems like a minor miracle that Rose Glass’ Love Lies Bleeding is only now becoming available on digital retailers.
You can own Love Lies Bleeding digitally from 2nd July. Glass directed the film and also wrote the script together with Weronika Tofilska. Itās the British filmmakerās second film, following on the heels of the immensely disturbing but stunningly-made horror character study, Saint Maud. Seriously, if you havenāt seen that one yet for some reason, do track it down now. Also, brace yourself for an intense eveningās entertainment.
The film follows a body builder Jackie (Katy OāBrian) and gym manager Lou (Kristen Stewart) whose whirlwind romance is threatened by Louās criminal family.

Love Lies Bleeding’s large ensemble cast includes Kristen Stewart, Katy O’Brian, Jena Malone, Anna Baryshnikov, Dave Franco and Ed Harris. The most frightening aspect of the film was Harris’ impressive, deeply disturbing hair-do.
Here’s what we said in our four star review of the film at the time of its theatrical release:
Glass’ film is also unashamedly sexy and queer. Stewart and O’Brian have a palpable, hot chemistry that puts most rom-coms to shame. Both actresses are on fine form, especially Stewart. She’s more focused and committed here than ever, but O’Brian brilliantly matches and often contradicts her energy.
Here’s a handy list of where you can buy Love Lies Bleeding from: iTunes, Amazon, Google, Sky, Virgin, EE TV, Microsoft (Xbox) and Rakuten.
