The animated delight Marcel The Shell With Shoes On is getting a 4K disc release in the UK this May: more here.
Few would grumble with the excellent Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio taking home the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature recently. But amongst the other nominees there was a gem that still deserved its fair share of acclaim, and remains one of the best films of 2022.
That movie is the delightful Marcel The Shell With Shoes On, directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, and following the tale of a one inch high shell. With shoes.
It’s a film well, well seeking out, and it’s also heading to 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray in the UK this spring. It’s been dated for May 22nd 2023, and whilst we don’t have details of any extra features, the disc is now available for preorder.
