Kat Coiro, director of Jennifer Lopez-led rom-com Marry Me, will helm an adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s novel The Husband’s Secret.

Fresh off of working on rom-com Marry Me, director Kat Coiro’s next project will be an adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s The Husband’s Secret for Sony Pictures, Deadline reports. Moriarty’s novel, published in 2013, hit number one on the New York Times bestsellers list. The adaptation is currently in development, but there aren’t many details just yet.

The book follows the story of three women whose lives become intertwined when one them discovers a devastating secret. At the moment, it is unclear just how faithful to the book the film adaptation will be. Liane Moriarty is best known as the writer of Big Little Lies, which was adapted into a TV series for HBO starring Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, and Laura Dern, among others. The show won eight Emmy Awards. Another of Moriarty’s adapted works is Nine Perfect Strangers, also starring Kidman and streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

These various adaptations show that Moriarty’s works are both extremely popular and that her stories are well-suited to film and television. It’s no wonder Sony is interested in The Husband’s Secret.

As for Coiro, her latest film Marry Me brought the cheesy rom-com back to the big screen. Led by Jennifer Lopez and Owen Wilson, the film has received mixed to positive reviews. She is also an accomplished TV director, and is working on the upcoming Marvel series She-Hulk. Other series Coiro has directed on include Netflix’s Dead To Me, as well as comedies like Modern Family and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
