Disney has announced that the Marvel Armor Wars series is getting an upgrade, from Disney+ series into a film.
Here’s another piece of Marvel Cinematic Universe news, that’s just popped up this morning (with this story landing too).
Armor Wars, the planned Disney+ series will now be a feature-length film, it has been revealed. The project is set to be based on the comic book storyline where Tony Stark’s Iron Man armour falls into the wrong hands and will feature Don Cheadle as War Machine.
News on the film was conspicuously absent from Disney’s recent D23 event and now we know why. Marvel Studios says that it is committed to telling the best possible story and as such, have realised that the project is better suited to a feature-length theatrical release.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, that could push production back from 2023 meaning it could be a long time before we see the film. Yaasir Lester, the head writer on the project so far will remain on board to pen the project but no director is attached, as it stands.
