The director of Short Term 12 has recruited Michael B Jordan for his new film.
If you’ve never seen it, do consider adding the outstanding Short Term 12 to your to-watch list with some haste. It’s some piece of work, made by director Destin Daniel Cretton. And he’s now back with a new film, that he’s co-written the script for.
The movie in question is Just Mercy, he co-wrote with Andrew Lanham, and in turn it’s based on the non-fiction book by Bryan Stevenson.
In the ensemble here are Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Foxx, Brie Larson, Rob Morgan, Tim Blake Nelson, Rafe Spall, O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Karan Kendrick. And the film is based on the true story of Stevenson, a civil rights defense attorney, and his battle to try and free a condemned prisoner on death row.
Here’s the new trailer for the film…
And here’s the first trailer, that was released back in September…
The film lands in UK cinemas on January 17th 2020.
