Adam Driver takes the lead in Michael Mann’s Ferrari biopic, that now has a confirmed December release in the UK.

The return to feature directing for Michael Mann comes with a project he’s nurtured on and off for many, many years. Ferrari is the biopic of Enzo Ferrari, and Mann was involved originally before the story morphed off into the terrific Le Man ’66. But he’s been tempted back to the Ferrari story, and we now have confirmation that the UK release is coming at the very end of 2023.

We’ve known for a while that Sky Cinema has distribution rights in the UK, and it’s now announced that the film will debut in UK cinemas on December 26th. Presumably with one eye on an awards run, it won’t then instantly jump onto its Sky Cinema service. Instead, we’re told that it’ll be available on Sky Cinema in 2024.

Adam Driver stars in the film, with Penelope Cruz, Shailene Woodley, Jack O’Donnell and Patrick Dempsey also on board.

No trailer or anything yet, but it can’t be long. More as we hear it.
