Longer theatrical runs herald a potential shift in the Netflix strategy as it reveals dozens and dozens of films leading into early 2023. Netflix has announced a swathe of films that will release on its streaming platform between now and early January, 2023. Whatā€™s more, lots of them will be getting decent theatrical runs in the US as well, which hopefully means weā€™ll get the same treatment here. The full list is below but some of the standouts include Scott Cooperā€™s take on Edgar Allen Poe, The Pale Blue Eye, Noah Baumbachā€™s White Noise and Paul Feigā€™s The School For Good And Evil, although it doesnā€™t currently look like the latter will be getting a theatrical release. Matilda: The Musical, Enola Holmes 2 and Guillermo del Toroā€™s Pinocchio are also inbound, although sadly without cinema releases, it seems. This list may yet change though as weā€™d heard that Rian Johnsonā€™s Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery was getting a cinema release which seems not to be the case according to this list. Regardless, thereā€™ll be something here for everybody and Netflixā€™s growing shift towards theatrical releases continues to be something to celebrate. Have a look below and get ready to add a few movies to your soon-to-watch list.
