A pair of animated Snow Queen movies are heading out way soon.
Distributor Altitude has had a fair amount of success with family movies over the past summer, thanks to its recent Asterix release, and its Horrible Histories: Rotten Romans film. And it’s got its chequebook out for a couple more movies for that market.
A deal has been struck with Russian animation firm Wizard for The Snow Queen: Mirrorlands and The Snow Queen: Fire And Ice, the latest ventures in that particular franchise. The plan is to release the latter on home formats this side of Christmas, whilst the former will be out in cinemas early next year.
No formal release dates have thus far been announced. Disney, of course, has its upcoming juggernaut Frozen 2 this side of Christmas, that too is derived in part from the classic The Snow Queen story.
