Ford Vs Ferrari is called Le Mans ’66 in the UK – here’s the new trailer.
For reasons that no doubt make a huge amount of sense to someone somewhere, the upcoming – and already acclaimed – Ford Vs Ferrari movie has been given a new name for its UK release.
Over here, it’s going by the moniker Le Mans ’66, but title aside, it’s the same movie we’re getting.
Thus, the cast is led by Matt Damon and Christian Bale, with Logan helmer James Mangold behind the camera. He’s working from a screenplay by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth and Jason Keller.
The film has picked up terrific reviews off the back of its recent festival debut, and a new trailer has just been released as well. So let’s show you that. Here’s the trailer, and you can find the official synopsis underneath it…
Here’s that synopsis…
Academy Award-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in LE MANS ‘66, based on the true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.
The movie lands in UK cinemas on November 15th.
