This should be a whole lot of fun. Releasing later this week is the acclaimed Madfabulous, the new film from director Celyn Jones.
Starring Callum Scott, Ruby Stokes, Rupert Everett, Paul Rhys, Louis Hyrnes and Louise Brealey, the film is a quirky period drama, telling the story of Toppy, an aristocrat with very much a flamboyant side, who goes about spending the fortune that he’s inherited.
Penned by Lisa Baker, the film is released in cinemas on Friday, although you may need to do some digging around to find a local screening.
For those of you in Birmingham, though, I’ve got something special: a screening of the film, with director Celyn Jones coming along to chat to me on stage afterwards.
Tickets are on sale now for this very special event, and it’s the latest in our drive to get filmmakers out of London, and talking to audiences around the UK. I’m hugely appreciative to both Celyn and the mighty David Baldwin at the Midlands Arts Centre in Brum for this event coming together.
