Devotion is now set to release in November, should you be looking forward to another bout of dogfighting action in the wake of Top Gun: Maverick.
Whilst Hollywood loves a war movie, the Korean War is a conflict that has been far less charted in cinematic form. That’s likely due to its lower profile with international audiences, but nonetheless Devotion, a new aerial drama, is promising to dramatise the events of that conflict in an exciting fashion.
Starring Jonathan Majors, star of Lovecraft County, Loki and the upcoming Creed III, alongside Glen Powell, who is currently still zooming around the skies opposite Tom Cruise in the brilliant Top Gun: Maverick, the film is based on Adam Makos’ novel and ‘tells the harrowing true story of two elite US Navy fighter pilots during the Korean War. Their heroic sacrifices would ultimately make them the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen.’
The film looks like it’s been pushed back a month for a November 23rd release and we’re wondering if that’s a move designed to build off the back of Top Gun: Maverick’s stunning recent success. Until then, you can catch the trailer below, courtesy of Sony Pictures.
