Nicolas Cage is heading back to the 1870s for his next project, and he prepares to take the lead in the upcoming Butcherās Crossing.
Nicolas Cage had added another role to his upcoming roster, as he’s set to take the lead in Butcher’s Crossing. This is part of his leap into westerns for the first time in his career, described as a ‘frontier epic’. In the film, he’s going to be playing a buffalo hunter working in the 1870s. He then finds himself teamed up with a younger colleague who dropped out of Harvard. Then they head of on a journey that will risk not only their lives, but also their sanity. Blimey.
Gabe Polsky is set to direct the movie, and he too has written the screenplay for this one. It’s an adaptation of a novel by John Williams, and the plan is for filming to begin this autumn.
Altitude has the UK release rights for the movie, and with a bit of luck we might get to see this one by the end of next year.
