Kieran Culkin, Conclave, Ariana Grande and more have been nominated for golden men. Here’s the list of Oscars 2025 nominations:
We’ve put on our finest clothing (well, it’s a clean dressing gown at least) and poured a glass of champagne (well, mug of Tizer) in honour of the Oscar nominations that have just emanated from the Academy’s chimney.
Among the big names in the running for an award this year are Wicked star Ariana Grande for Best Supporting Actress, Kieran Culkin in the Best Supporting Actor category for his engaging turn in A Real Pain, and Nosferatu for Best Make-Up & Hair. (We like to think that it was Bill Skarsgård’s moustache that swung the latter nomination.)
Fun fact: three of the five nominations in the Best Visual Effects category have primates in. Something for the VFX studios out there should think about if they want a nomination next year.
The 97th Academy Awards ceremony will take place on the 3rd March 2025, and will be hosted by Conan OāBrien. Who would you like to see walk away with a shiny statuette? Let us know in the comments.
