See 1995ās In The Bleak Midwinter on the big screen ā with Kenneth Branagh on stage afterwards to tell us about it!
In 1995, Kenneth Branagh made – between Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and his big screen adaptation of Hamlet – a charming Christmas film called In The Bleak Midwinter.
A low budget film that Branagh funded himself, it’s a delight of a movie, that’s very rarely seen on the big screen. And for years, I’ve been trying to get a Christmas showing of the movie, with Kenneth Branagh coming along afterwards to talk about it.
Chums: it’s happening.
On Friday 15th December, a very special Film Stories podcast is being recorded in London. There will be a rare screening of In The Bleak Midwinter. And even rarer, Kenneth Branagh will be joining me IN PERSON to chat about the film on stage afterward.
Film Stories readers: you’re getting an early heads up that tickets are on sale now. Our profits from it are going to support Centrepoint.
The booking link for the event – which is taking place at Picturehouse Central ā is right here.
It promises to be quite a night…!
