Star Trek actor Rachel Nichols will play a key figurehead in stopping a worldwide pandemic in Dark Night Of The Soul.

Stories inspired by the pandemic seem to be ten a penny at the moment. Finding a new angle, or one that doesn’t feel exploitative, is the new challenge for screenwriters.

This brings us to Dark Night Of The Soul, which revolves around a scientist who holds the cure to a pandemic which has ravaged the world. After a terrible crash, she becomes trapped alone in her car and must fight to survive not only for herself, but for the survival of the human race.

So far, the only confirmed cast member is Star Trek actor Rachel Nichols as the scientist. She’s also appeared in G.I Joe: The Rise Of Cobra and The Amityville Horror.

Dark Night Of The Soul is written and directed by S.J. Creazzo and is set to start shooting in New York later this year.
