Rainn Wilson has dipped his toe into the world of action films before, in James Gunn’s terrific superhero satire Super. And he looks to be heading back to the big screen shortly.
Now, he’s set to lead action comedy Code 3. Set during the COVID-19 pandemic, the plot follows two paramedics, one of whom is burnt out and has one last, particularly eventful shift in which he must train his replacement.
Wilson stars alongside Lil Rey Howery in the production. Christopher Leone will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with former paramedic Patrick Pianezza.
Code 3 will begin production next month, we’ll keep you updated as we hear more.
