Sarah Paulson leads the new thriller Run – and here’s the first trailer.
Now this looks good. Aneesh Chaganty made his breakthrough with his terrific Searching, a thriller that could have just gone off to live in concept corner – given that it basically plays out on the screen of technology – but turned out to be really smart.
Since the success of the movie – to which a sequel remains in development – he’s been at work on his new project. It goes by the name of Run, and it’s a horror thriller starring Sarah Paulson. Chaganty has penned the script with Sev Ohanian.
Lionsgate has backed the film, and the first trailer for it has landed. Take a mooch at that, and we’ll have the synopsis the other side…
Here’s that synopsis…
They say you can never escape a mother’s love… but for Chloe, that’s not a comfort — it’s a threat. There’s something unnatural, even sinister about the relationship between Chloe (newcomer Kiera Allen) and her mom, Diane (Sarah Paulson). Diane has raised her daughter in total isolation, controlling every move she’s made since birth, and there are secrets that Chloe’s only beginning to grasp. From the visionary writers, producers and director of the breakout film Searching, comes a suspense thriller that shows that when mom gets a little too close, you need to RUN.
The movie lands in the US in May, although there’s no UK release date as of yet. More as we hear it.
