Better hope the kids are asleep – Saw X is arriving on physical media next month.

One of the year’s biggest horror flicks (and one of the best Saw movies, we’d wager) is making its way to a disc-playing device near you, just in time for Christmas. What better counter-programming to The Muppet Christmas Carol than a bunch of nasty medical scammers doing brain surgery on themselves?

Set between the events of Saw I and II, everyone’s favourite murdery avenger John Kramer isn’t feeling too well. Desperate to cure his cancer, he travels to Mexico for an experimental medical procedure – which turns out to be a scam.

Then other things happen, and someone gets tubes attached to their eyes. If I’m honest, I was too busy hiding behind my hands to get many more details.

In our review, though, we said Saw X “offers a fresh new angle and focus while also delivering on the series’ trademark gore and torment.” If you like the franchise, then, it looks like this one’s for you.

Lionsgate are bringing Saw X to 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD formats on 11th November. If you can’t wait that long, it’s already available to buy and rent on digital now.
