Showcase Cinemas becomes the first UK chain to reopen some of its multiplexes this weekend ā€“ and itā€™s kicking things off with a £5 offer. From Saturday, cinemas in England are finally allowed to reopen their doors under UK government guidance, although signs so far are that the majority of them won’t be doing so. In fact, the only chain at the moment we can find that has confirmed it’ll be back open this weekend are Showcase Cinema sites. Even then, it doesn’t look like all of its England-based multiplexes will be open, and going through the booking system on its website we count nine for certain that will be. They are: Bluewater Leeds Liverpool Coventry Nottingham Peterborough Reading Teeside Newham As for what to actually watch, there’s one new release available, with Black Water: Abyss playing from this Saturday. Other than that, the chain has lined up a choice of classic movies, which it’s charging £5 apiece to watch. Films on the list include: Back To The Future 1917 Guardians Of The Galaxy Bohemian Rhapsody Fast & Furious 7 Interstellar Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone Just Mercy La La Land Paw Patrol: Ready, Race, Rescue Pulp Fiction Spider-Man: Far From Home Terminator 2: Judgment Day The Dark Knight trilogy The Sound Of Music You can find the full list of available films here. Showcase will reopen further sites from Friday July 10th. And we’ll leave you with the video it’s put together about its reopening…
