Sinners arrives on digital next week, 4K Ultra HD release confirmed for July

Ryan Coogler’s excellent box office juggernaut Sinners is coming to 4K Ultra HD in July. We’ve got some details below. 


It’s not exactly a secret that we here at Film Stories were big fans of Ryan Coogler period vampire flick Sinners. It’s one of the year’s biggest success stories and rightfully so, it’s a great film. 

Naturally, we’re already thinking of when we can watch the film again. Warner Bros. has now announced that Sinners will be available to watch at home digitally from 3rd June so you can enjoy your vampire action from the comfort of your own home. 

If you’re keen on owning Sinners on DVD, Blu-ray or 4K, not to worry. Coogler’s film will be available from 21st July. 

Sinners stars Michael B. Jordan as twins Smoke and Stack who return to their home town for a fresh start, but find themselves at odds with something terrifying. In his review, Simon argued that Sinners sets “a high bar for studio movies for the rest of the year.”

You can pre-order the physical edition here. The Amazon listing says 31st December, but according to the Warner Bros. press release, the film will arrive on physical media in July.

Prof. Yvonne Chireau explores the backdrop of Hoodoo in the deep south and how its beliefs and traditions in spirituality, ancestors, the hereafter, and defense against evil inform the world and characters of “Sinners.”​

The Wages of Sin: The Creature FX of “Sinners” – featurette (10:51)

Creature Makeup FX Designer Mike Fontaine reveals the secrets behind the supernatural horrors that terrorize the Juke, Ryan Coogler’s fresh take on vampires, and the various gore and blood effects used throughout the film.​
