The horror movie Smile has cleaned up at the box office – and it’s heading to DVD, Blu-ray and 4K disc in the UK later this month.

Comfortably one of the breakout hits of 2022 has been the effective and hugely successful horror flick Smile. Appreciating horror is a genre where a modest budget is less of a roadblock to box office gold, Smile nonetheless has done far better than most, breaking through $100m at the US box office alone.

And now, Paramount has decided it’s just the kind of film for the festive season too.

The movie’s UK home entertainment plans have been released, and Smile will initially be heading to video on demand services from next Monday. But the film is also getting a physical media release too, and will be on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray from December 26th.

You can find out more information on the release, and order a copy, right here.

One final thing: the disc versions come with some extra features too. On the Blu-ray and 4K edition, you get this little lot…

  • Commentary by director Parker Finn
  • Laura Hasn’t Slept—The original short film that inspired SMILE with introduction by director Parker Finn
  • Something’s Wrong with Rose: Making SMILE
  • Flies on the Wall: Inside the Score
  • Deleted Scenes—With optional commentary by director Parker Finn

And the DVD includes the deleted scenes and the Laura Hasn’t Slept short film.

Note to self: try and end this little story with some kind of pun about trying to put a smile on your face or something. And remember to delete this note.
