The tale behind Terrifier 3 is told in Art Attack! The Dissection Of Terrifier 3, even as Terrifier 4 is being planned and plotted.
The kind of indie horror movie breakout success story that filmmaker dreams are made of, this October’s Terrifier 3 cost less than $10m to make and promote, and has already earned $87m at the global box office. When you consider that the real money will be made on home formats, that’s some result, and a sizeable profit. No wonder Terrifier 4 is being lined up for as soon as 2026.
Ahead of that, though, there’s another feature of sorts for Terrifier fans to feast on. Art Attack! The Dissection Of Terrifier 3 is a bit of an access all areas behind the scenes documentary on the making of Terrifier 3.
It’s got the involvement of director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone, and comes with fresh footage from the making of the film too. Gary Smart and John Campopiano have directed the film, which has just had its US release details confirmed.
Quite when we get to see it in the UK is thus far unclear. What is more straightforward is that Signature Entertainment is rather keen to get Terrifier 3 onto home formats in time for Christmas (unsurprising, given the festive nature of the film). A Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray has been lined up for 16th December, as we wrote about here.
Cult Screenings UK as the name suggests, is the British coming behind Art Attack! The Dissection Of Terrifier 3. When we get more information on the movie, and release details for it, we’ll pass them on.
In the meantime, writer/director Damien Leone is presumably plotting new ways for Art The Clown to wreak havoc and break people into little bits. Details of Terrifier 4 haven’t been forthcoming yet, just that it’s going to be happening.
