Art the Clown is back in Terrifier 3. Hereā€™s the new teaser trailer to prove it ā€“ which, fair warning, contains a bit of gore.

The Christmas-themed Terrifier 3 has writer and director Damien Leone and producer Phil Falcone back behind the camera, with David Howard Thornton reprising his role as Art The Clown. The trailer gives brief glimpses of what to expect, but suffice it to say that it looks to be more violent night than silent night.

The synopsis reads as follows:

Art the Clown is set to unleash chaos on the unsuspecting residents of Miles County as they peacefully drift off to sleep on Christmas Eve. This third film is centered around Art the Clown and it is the fourth feature-length film to include the character (after the anthology film All Hallowsā€™ Eve) in the Terrifier franchise.

Few things are better for the box office for a horror film than strong word of mouth. In the 1950s, producer William Castle took out a thousand dollar life insurance policy for any audience member who was frightened to death by his 1958 film Macabre, and hired ambulances to sit outside cinemas. The word of mouth this generated ensured sold out screenings.

So it was with 2022 micro-budget sequel Terrifier 2, with its release joined by reports of viewers fainting and having to be carried out of screenings. People flocked to see whether the film was as vile as its reputation suggested. It certainly requires a strong stomach, but anybody who can sit through the Hostel films will be in similar territory.

Terrifier 3, meanwhile, looks as though it will join a canon of festive frighteners alongside Black Christmas, Krampus and Better Watch Out.

The cast includes Jason Patric, Daniel Roebuck, Lauren LaVera, Bryce Johnson, Bradley Stryker and Chris Jericho.

Terrifier 3 will be released in UK cinemas on the 11th October.

With a final warning for gore and a bit of dismemberment, hereā€™s the teaser trailer:
