The Banshees Of Inisherin set for Disney+ next week, DVD and Blu-ray in January

Oscar-hopeful The Banshees Of Inisherin is set to land on Disney+ pre-Christmas, and DVD and Blu-ray early in 2023. Set to be a name you hear a lot as more and more awards bodies announce their gongs over the coming weeks is Martin McDonagh’s latest film, The Banshees Of Inisherin. Starring Colin Farrell and Brendon Gleeson, it’s a film set on the island of Inisherin back in the 1920s, and is a sombre, often very funny drama. To say more would be to spoil things really, but don’t be surprise if Messrs Gleeson and Farrell need to get a display cabinet from Ikea early next year. If you missed the film, your next chance to see it will be on the Disney+ streaming service. It’s set to land there on December 21^st. Following that, Disney is giving the movie a DVD and Blu-ray release in the UK, and has earmarked January 30^th 2023 for the physical media debut of the film. The DVD, from what we can gleam, has no extra features. On the Blu-ray, you get a feature on creating The Banshees Of Inisherin, and some deleted scenes as well.
