Oscar-hopeful The Banshees Of Inisherin is set to land on Disney+ pre-Christmas, and DVD and Blu-ray early in 2023.
Set to be a name you hear a lot as more and more awards bodies announce their gongs over the coming weeks is Martin McDonagh’s latest film, The Banshees Of Inisherin.
Starring Colin Farrell and Brendon Gleeson, it’s a film set on the island of Inisherin back in the 1920s, and is a sombre, often very funny drama. To say more would be to spoil things really, but don’t be surprise if Messrs Gleeson and Farrell need to get a display cabinet from Ikea early next year.
If you missed the film, your next chance to see it will be on the Disney+ streaming service. It’s set to land there on December 21st. Following that, Disney is giving the movie a DVD and Blu-ray release in the UK, and has earmarked January 30th 2023 for the physical media debut of the film.
The DVD, from what we can gleam, has no extra features. On the Blu-ray, you get a feature on creating The Banshees Of Inisherin, and some deleted scenes as well.
