Upcoming werewolf thriller The Beast Within stars Kit Harington and is set to release next month. Hereās a new trailer to prove it.
Kit Haringtonās post Game Of Thrones career never really jumped into gear in the way that it could have, given the popularity that his Jon Snow character garnered across the multiple seasons of the HBO fantasy show. Itās been five years now since Game Of Thrones ended, and since then several of Haringtonās higher-profile projects havenāt panned out for one reason or another.
His Jon Snow spin-off show, whilst never officially announced, is now not moving forwards. That reveal came from Harington himself in a recent interview that we covered here. The actor was also set to become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as The Black Knight but his brief appearance in 2021's Eternals remains his only MCU appearance to date. Heās certainly not the only actor in the last few years to make a setup appearance that hasnāt gone anywhere and Harington has continued to appear both on the stage and in films.
The actorās next movie project is The Beast Within, a rather fun sounding werewolf film set in England, no less. Hereās the synopsis:
āAfter a series of strange events leads her to question her family’s isolated life on a fortified compound deep in the English wilds, ten-year-old Willow follows her parents on one of their secret late-night treks to the heart of the ancient forest. But upon witnessing her father undergo a terrible transformation, she too becomes ensnared by the dark ancestral secret they’ve tried so desperately to conceal.ā
Ashleigh Cummings, James Cosmo, Caoilinn Springall, Miriam Arabella Maslin, and Adam Basil co-star. We always love an appearance by the mighty James Cosmo so weāre popping this one on the radar. According to IMDb, the film is now called What Remains Of Us, but the trailer definitely still carries the title of The Beast Within. Itās the debut of filmmaker Alexander J Farrell, a photographer who found acclaim with his feature-length documentary, Refugee.
Itās headed to cinemas in the US on the 26th July 2024 and weāre hoping the same happens here too. Regardless, if youāre a fan of werewolf movies then check out the trailer below.
