Ezra Miller will finally get the chance to star as The Flash in a standalone movie.
It feels like it’s been a long, long time since Ezra Miller was cast as The Flash in Warner Bros’ movie big screen DC universe. Whilst the character has been busy in the hugely successful TV show adaptation, Miller thus far has only appeared in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice and the Justice League movie. The standalone movie of The Flash keeps being delayed.
But now we finally have a new release date for the project. Warner Bros has announced that The Flash will arrive in cinemas on July 1st 2022. Behind the camera for this one is set to be Andy Muschietti, fresh from making the two movies based on Stephen King’s It. He’s not officially signed on the dotted line yet, but is expected to do so shortly.
The project has gone through a few writers and directors to get this far. We wait and see if this really is the moment where it finally happens.
