Disney’s newest live action remake The Little Mermaid will premiere on Disney+ in September: more details here.
Disney’s raiding of its own back catalogue to remake in live action is a trend that is not set to end any time soon, with decent box office receipts for The Little Mermaid, their upcoming slate includes Snow White and Peter Pan.
The Little Mermaid, directed by Rob Marshall from a screenplay by David Magee, saw Halle Bailey take on the role of iconic Disney princess Ariel.
Arriving later than the typical ninety day window, the film will finally arrive on Disney+ on the 6th September. It will come with various special features, including a song breakdown of Under the Sea and Javier Bardem’s performance of Impossible Child.
