Talented writer/director? Check. Mouth-watering ensemble cast? Check. Iconic British literary property? Check, check, check.
There’s a reason that this upcoming feature from the creative talent behind The Death of Stalin and In the Loop featured in our print magazine’s recent list of upcoming UK films to be excited about. Now, the a new poster has dropped for The Personal History Of David Copperfield. It joins the first trailer, that popped up in October.
The film charts the life of David Copperfield as he grows and deals with the challenges of Victorian England. The impressive ensemble cast includes Dev Patel, Peter Capaldi, Ben Whishaw, Tilda Swinton, Gwendoline Christie and Hugh Laurie. It’s a sharply satirical tale, which is something Iannucci knows more than just a little about.
We’re very excited, the film itself is set to arrive on January 24th. Until then, check out the poster below.

And here’s that trailer too…
