Amazon’s Lord Of The Rings spin-off The Rings Of Power is now in production for season 3. More on the new season below.
If you’ve been waiting for news about Rings Of Power season 3, we got some for you. The Lord Of The Rings spin-off’s third season has now officially entered production.
The series was officially renewed for season 3 in February, four months after the explosive confrontation between Sauron and Galadriel aired. We weren’t too impressed with the season 2 finale, though, so we’re hoping season 3 will improve on things.
The production also released a brief teaser of a familiar costume being built. Take a peek:
“Something is stirring on set.” It sure is. Sauron’s crown is a sure sign that things are heating up in Middle-earth.
There’s also the official synopsis for the new season of The Rings Of Power:
Jumping forward several years from the events of Season 2, Season 3 takes place at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron, as the Dark Lord seeks to craft the One Ring that will give him the edge he needs to win the war and conquer all Middle-earth at last.
In terms of casting, series regulars Charlie Vickers, Morfydd Clark, and Robert Aramayo will be joined by Stranger Things’ Jamie Bower Campbell and Eddie Marsan in the new season.
There’s no official word on when The Rings Of Power season 3 will air, but if production is underway now, we’re willing to bet the show makes it to our screens in 2026.
We’ll bring you more news from Middle-earth as we hear it.
