BBC has just confirmed a long-rumoured celebrity version of their hit series The Traitors as well as season 4 of the regular version.
There have been whispers about a celebrity version of BBC’s The Traitors for a few months, but BBC have finally confirmed that we will indeed see a bunch of celebs try and outsmart each other in a Scottish castle.
Claudia Winkleman is set to host the celebrity version, and she’ll also be back for season 4 of the less-famous version, which has also been confirmed by Deadline. The celebrity Traitors is set to air in 2025.
“The Traitors has well and truly established itself as an unmissable highlight of the year and the news of a fourth outing, alongside a brand new celebrity version coming to the BBC, will take the series to a whole new level,” said Kalpna Patel-Knight, Head of Entertainment at the BBC.
The Traitors has been a major hit for the BBC. The show has sold to several other countries and the US and UK versions have even been filming at the same time in Scotland. The US version has leaned a little more on celebrity guests while the UK version has so far only included civilians.
The Traitors UK aired its second season earlier this year and a third season was announced in 2023. Filming has taken place this year, but there’s no release date for season three yet.
