Blumhouse’s next big horror flick is arriving in March, and it’s called The Woman in The Yard. Here’s the trailer…

This week sees Blumhouse deliver its traditional January horror release here in the UK. This time, it’s bringing us a reimagining of a classic Universal monster in Wolf Man, starring Julia Garner and Christopher Abbott with Leigh Whannell on directing duties. As you can probably imagine, it has a trailer.

Speaking of trailers, the studio has begun ramping up the promotional campaign for its next release, The Woman In The Yard, due on the 28th March in the UK. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who most recently brought us the airport thriller Carry-On, now Netflix’s fifth most-watched movie in its history.

As for The Woman In The Yard, we now have a trailer for what looks to be a pretty high-concept horror. Here’s the synopsis:

‘A mysterious woman who repeatedly appears in a family’s front yard, often delivering chilling warnings or unsettling messages, leaving the residents to question her identity, motives, and the potential danger she might pose.’

It’s the kind of elevator pitch that could lead to a lot of fun, not least because the film has been helmed by Collet-Serra, a director whose other horror flicks include House Of Wax (2005), Orphan (2009) and 2016’s The Shallows (Blake Lively versus a shark).

Danielle Deadwyler returns to work with Collet-Serra again following their collaboration on Carry-On, while Okwui Okpokwasili, Russell Hornsby, Peyton Jackson, and Estella Kahiha co-star. You can find the trailer below – but we warn you: after viewing it you might find yourself glancing outside, just to check that there’s nobody there.
