Tina Turner documentary Tina is heading our way this spring – more details on the movie right here.

The latest music star to be subject of a documentary feature film is Tina Turner, with the news that the movie Tina set to arrive in the UK in March.

We’ve actually seen this film, although it’s unclear whether we’re actually allowed to talk about it yet. I think we can get away with saying it’s a production well, well worth seeking out when it arrives. It also address the biopic of Turner’s life, What’s Love Got To Do With It, that earned Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne Oscar nominations in the 1990s.

In the UK, the film is to get – in theory – a cinema release first courtesy of Altitude. Then it’ll head to Sky’s Documentaries channel in April.

Dan Lindsay and TJ Martin co-direct the movie, and it’s been made with the backing and on-screen involved of Turner herself. That picture you can see at the top of the article is the first official image released from the feature.

More as we hear it.
