Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk is the subject of a brand new documentary thatās due in 2022: more details on the project here.
Even if lots of us weren’t knee-deep in the world of skateboarding, there’s a strong chance that we’d have heard of Tony Hawk off the back of the hugely successful run of videogames that bore his name. The games were best sellers for many years, until they went a bit awry, and they made Hawk a household name.
Now his own story is set to come to the screen in an upcoming documentary, Tony Hawk: Until The Wheels Fall Off. This is going to dig into his life and career, with lots of behind the scenes footage and talking heads.
It’s from director Sam Jones (not the Flash Gordon Sam Jones), with Mark Duplass, Mel Eslyn and Jay Duplass its executive producers. Warner Bros has picked the film up in the US for its HBO Max streaming service, and a 2022 debut is earmarked. We don’t have UK release details as of yet, but will pass them on when we do.
