Video game Five Nights At Freddy’s has been adapted into a film – after many years of talking about it – and here’s the full trailer.

Five Night’s At Freddy’s is, of course, a popular video game which follows a security guard as he attempts to make it through his first shift at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza after the restaurant’s animatronic characters come to life and become homicidal.

The official synopsis for the film reads as follows:

Mike Schmidt (Josh Hutcherson), a troubled security guard, starts a night-time job at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a once-successful abandoned family entertainment center, where he discovers its four animatronic mascots — Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny, Chica the Chicken, and Foxy the Pirate Fox — move and kill anyone that is still there after midnight.

Leading the cast are Matthew Lillard and Josh Hutcherson, alongside Elizabeth Lail, Mary Stuart Masterson, Kat Conner Sterling, Jessica Weiss, and Grant Feely.

Emma Tammi is directing from a screenplay she co-wrote with Seth Cuddeback and creator of the franchise Scott Cawthon. Prolific horror studio Blumhouse is behind the film.

Five Night’s at Freddy’s will be released on the 27th October.
