Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal star in sci-fi drama Foe, directed and co-written by Garth Davis – and here’s the first trailer for it.

Paul Mescal, who gave a standout performance in last year’s Aftersun, and Saoirse Ronan star in Foe, and the first trailer for the film has now been released.

Foe is a sci-fi drama. The synopsis reads as follows:

“Hen & Junior farm a secluded piece of land that has been in Junior’s family for generations, but their quiet life is thrown into turmoil when an uninvited stranger shows up at their door with a startling proposal. Starring Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal, Foe’s mesmerizing imagery and persistent questions about the nature of humanity (and also artificial humanity) bring the not-too-distant future to luminous life.”

Aaron Pierre completes the cast, with Garth Davis directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Iain Reid. Reid also wrote the novel on which the film is based.

Foe will be released in cinemas on the 6th October. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video at a later date.
