The Beanie Bubble tells the story of the creation of beanie babies. The synopsis reads as follows:
Why did the world suddenly treat stuffed animals like gold? Ty Warner (Zach Galifianakis) was a frustrated toy salesman until his collaboration with three women grew his masterstroke of an idea into the biggest toy craze in history. The Beanie Bubble is an inventive story about what and who we value, and the unsung heroes whose names didn’t appear on the heart-shaped tag.
Galifianakis stars alongside Elizabeth Banks, Sarah Snook, Geraldine Viswanathan, Kurt Yaeger and Madison Johnson.
Damian Kulash Jr. and Kristin Gore make their directorial debut from a script written by Gore.
The Beanie Bubble will stream on Apple TV+ from the 28th July.
