An upcoming documentary film promises to take us behind the scenes of some of Val Kilmer’s most iconic roles.
Val Kilmer has had quite the career, appearing in some major films over several decades and occasionally ruffling a few feathers too. He’s also been fighting throat cancer too in recent years. Now, the actor is producing a feature-length documentary about his career, titled Val.
Whilst that in itself is interesting enough, footage for the film comes from thousands of hours of video that Kilmer has amassed over the years, meaning we will get to see Kilmer recording his thoughts on the set of films like Batman Forever, Top Gun and Heat.
The press release for the film describes Kilmer as “one of Hollywood’s most mercurial and/or misunderstood actor[s],” whilst describing the film as “raw, wildly original and unflinching documentary [that] reveals a life lived to extremes and a heart-filled, sometimes hilarious look at what it means to be an artist and a complex man.”
The film is set to release on August 6th, but if you want to catch a glimpse now, be sure to check out the trailer below.

With the trailer for Blitz now revealed, Steve McQueen could be headed to the small screen for his next project.

With plans for a new RoboCop film seemingly not advancing, we're now getting a(nother) RoboCop TV series instead.
Making a movie isn't easy. Making a good movie, then, is presumably even harder. Making a great RoboCop film though? That has to be close to impossible. While each film in the beloved splatterpunk action franchise contains elements [...]
