When it comes to big screen murder mysteries, at the moment we are spoiled for choice. From Rian Johnson’s Knives Out: Glass Onion to Kenneth Branagh’s take on moustachioed mystery solver Poirot.
Invitation To A Murder is billed as a homage to the works of Agatha Christie.
The official synopsis reads as follows:
Set in England, an amateur detective finds herself caught up in a real-life whodunit! Miranda Green is summoned to the remote mansion of billionaire Lewis Findley along with five mysterious strangers. What do they all have in common? What’s become of their absent host? And who just murdered one of the guests in cold blood? Now Miranda must hunt for hidden clues, interview witnesses, and find the killer — before she becomes the next victim.
Mischa Barton stars as Miranda Green, alongside Chris Browning, Seamus Dever, Giles Matthey, Grace Lynn Kung, Amy Sloan, Alex Hyde-White and Bianca Santos.
Stephen Shimek directs from a screenplay by Brian O’Donnell and an original idea by Gérard Miller.
Invitation To A Murder will be released direct to streaming on 25th April.
