From the team behind the brilliant Columbia Noir Blu-ray sets comes the first six film Universal Noir release: more here.
The terrific DVD and Blu-ray label Indicator has played host to a series of boxsets in its Columbia Noir series of release. Each of the sets has brought six vintage films to the Blu-ray format, in boxsets packed with extra features as well.
Now Indicator is turning its attention to the Universal Pictures catalogue with the launch of its Universal Noir range. The approach is the same: pick half a dozen movies, bring them together in one set, and make that set as good as possible.
The six films chosen for the set as The Web, Larceny, Abandoned (not the Taylor Lautner-headlined one!), Deported, Naked Alibi and Kiss The Blood Off My Hands. One of the joys of these boxsets has been discovering older films to watch, and it sounds like it’s quite the collection.
The set is called Universal Noir #1, which openly suggests more are on the way. It’s released on September 19th 2022, and you can find more information – and order a copy – right here.
