Winnie The Pooh: Blood & Honey ā€“ the Winnie The Pooh slasher movie ā€“ will be heading to the UK in April. More here. This one’s been quite the story. The character of Winnie The Pooh has fallen into the public domain over the last year or so, and that means it’s fair game for anyone who wants to use it. What that doesn’t mean is that the Disney interpretation of Winnie The Pooh is copyright-free, but still: that’s easy enough to work around. Enter stage left then writer/director Rhys Frake-Waterfield, who’s put together a slasher movie called Winnie The Pooh: Blood & Honey, that follows a take on Pooh and Piglet who are less friendly to Christopher Robin than you may remember. The film is completed, and a sequel is reportedly on the way too. And we now have confirmed news of a UK release for it. Altitude has picked up the film for UK release, and it’s earmarked it for a DVD and Blu-ray release on April 24th. We’re not sure this one’s going to see the inside of a cinema over here, but will keep you posted if it gets the one day outing that the film is getting elsewhere in the world. In the meantime then, you can find out more about the release and order a copy right here. ā€” Thank you for visiting! If youā€™d like to support our attempts to make a non-clickbaity movie website: Follow Film Stories on Twitter here, and on Facebook here.
