X-Men: The New Mutants – ticket booking finally open

Well, crikey: it looks like X-Men: The New Mutants is finally, actually going to be release, as UK cinema bookings open for the much-delayed film. We’re not usually ones on this site to write stories about tickets for films going on sale, but, well, this is one of those cases where it’s worth making an exception. For the film that for a long time looked like it was never actually going to actually be release is, well, being released. See also: X-Men: The New Mutants and the story of its many delays. We’re talking – the headline always gives these things away – about X-Men: The New Mutants, that’s finally heading into UK cinemas on Saturday 29th August (technically its release date is 4th September, but it’s doing one of those things where weekend previews are offered beforehand). Across Odeon sites in the UK for a start, tickets have now gone on sale for the film. It hasn’t yet had its BBFC certificate granted, but don’t be surprised – given all the talk about this being a darker film – if it ends up with a 15. More on that as we hear it.
