Liv Tyler is set to reprise her role as Betty Ross in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time in 15 years, in the next Captain America film.
News broke last year that the late William Hurt would be replaced in the role of General Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross by Harrison Ford in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
According to Deadline, he will now be joined in the upcoming film
Captain America: New World Order by Liv Tyler, reprising her role as Ross’ daughter Betty. Tyler hasn’t appeared in the MCU since 2008’s
The Incredible Hulk.
Anthony Mackie will lead the film, while Tim Blake Nelson is also reprising his role from
The Incredible Hulk as The Leader.
Unorthodox‘s Shira Haas will play Sabra, an Israeli superhero from the
Hulk comics who is a mutant with enhanced strength, speed and agility. They will share the screen with returning
Falcon And Winter Soldier actors Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres, a military intelligence friend of Sam’s, and Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, the bitter former Captain America.
Julius Onah, who previously helmed 2018’s
The Cloverfield Paradox, will direct the film, from a screenplay by
Falcon And The Winter Soldier showrunner Malcolm Spellman and staff writer Dalan Musson
Captain America: New World Order is due to be released on 3
